Setting Up a New E-Mail Account

Outlook Express

  1. Start Outlook Express.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
  3. Select the Mail tab.
  4. Click Add, then select Mail. The Internet Connection Wizard dialog box appears.
  5. In the Display Name field, type your name, then select Next.
  6. In the E-mail Address field, type your E-mail address, then select Next.
  7. In the My Incoming mail server is a drop-down menu, verify that POP3 is selected.
  8. In the Incoming mail server field, type mail.accentix.net.
  9. In the Outgoing mail server field, type mail.accentix.net, then select Next.
  10. In the Account Name field, type your full E-Mail address.
  11. In the Password field, type your password.

    Note: Selecting the Remember password option lets Outlook Express connect to your mailbox without asking you for your password. Enabling this feature is optional.

  12. Select Next.
  13. Click Finish to save the new e-mail settings.
  14. Double click the new email account (most likely called mail.accentix.net)
  15. Click on the Servers tab.
  16. Click on the box next to “My server requires authentication”.
  17. Click Apply.
  18. Click on the Advanced tab.
  19. Under Server Port Numbers, Next to Outgoing Mail (SMTP), replace the current entry (usually 25) with 587.
  20. Click OK.
  21. Click Close.
