Sending E-Mail Using Port 587

Outlook 2002 and 2003

1. Open Outlook.
2. From the Tools menu, select E-mail Accounts.
3. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts, then select Next.
4. Click the E-Mail account (most likely called mail.accentix.net) and click Change.
5. Click More Settings....
6. Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
7. Ensure that the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
8. Click on the Advanced tab.
9. Under Server Port Numbers, Next to Outgoing server (SMTP), replace the current entry (usually 25) with 587.
10. Click OK to close the dialog box.
11. Click Next.
12. Choose Finish to close the window.
